Salt leather creations are a mixture of handcrafted jewellery made from all things earth and sea. From macrame wrapped gemstones, seashells, into bracelets, anklets, and necklaces. As well as kangaroo leather craft. 

 

Handmade in Western Australia, each individual piece is entirely different and custom orders are always welcome.

 

All resources are sustainably and ethically sourced. Meaning the gemstones are all sourced from a specific wholesaler who only deals with reputable mines who work as part of a fair trade agreement. This means they guarantee a minimum wage, and if the country of the mine doesn't have a set minimum wage, they guarantee a livable wage.

 

All seashells are brought of an Australian sustainable seashell company, who only deal with reputable and responsible suppliers. Sourcing specific shells that are all prolific breeders (meaning they produce millions and millions of eggs a year) this guarantees they are at absolutely no risk of becoming a threatened species. They sustainably harvest through highly regulating the quantities and types of shells taken. 

 

Overall this means they cost me a little extra, but it is worth it for the peace of mind to sit well with my strong sustainability beliefs.
